New Roots Farm is owned and operated by Renée and Jeff Cantara.  We are committed to promoting sustainable food systems in the New Hampshire Seacoast area and the Gulf of Maine Bioregion despite the obstacles created by intense development pressure.  As farmland continues to rapidly disappear while simultaneously soaring in value, we are

As we mentioned above, New Roots Farm is committed to long-term sustainability.  Our farming philosophy is based on our shared background in the ecology of natural systems.  We strive to mimic the diversity that builds stability in natural ecosystems while building a thriving foodscape to support many people.  Of course all this work can be tiring...so at the end of a hot day you might find Renée enjoying the waters of the cold North Atlantic while Jeff is saltwater flyfishing for striped bass.  All work and no play...
